The Jordan Retro IX “Calvin Bailey” drops, as the fourth release in the Johnny Kilroy Pack. The “Calvin Bailey” Retro 9 is a deep royal/university gold-white colorway that pays homage to one of the alter-egos played by Michael Jordan in the Air Jordan 9 campaign after his first retirement in 1993. As such, the AJ 9 became the first of Michael Jordan’s signature shoes that he never wore during the season they dropped. This release has a two toned deep royal nubuck upper with bits of reflective silver on one of the nubuck layers. University gold highlights are featured on the shoe’s inner lining, lace holes, and outsole. White stitching around the shoe and on the heel Jordan logo round out the release. “Calvin Bailey” is sewed across the outside of the tongue replacing the usual “Air Jordan.” “Gary” is stitched on the inside of the tongue representing the city that the fictional Calvin Bailey plays for.
